New female record of 11.54 set for the Tan Track lap

Congratulations Genevieve Gregson for breaking the record of the fastest female lap ever around the Tan with a time of 11.54 on the 24th of March! In 2011 the Bennelong Foundation funded the instillation two digital clocks which display the fastest male and female times around the 'Tan'. The Tan Track clocks will be updated shortly to display the new record times. The Foundation have also been working with Run the TAN in support of establishing a set of rules and regulations for recording official times so that the signage can be updated regularly. It is wonderful to see these clocks becoming a landmark and inspiration for the Melbourne community and as a platform to recognise and celebrate. Photo credit : Tempo journal
