The Bennelong Foundation's annual May Pitch in event was held virtually over webinar for the first time to adapt to the social distancing measures in place as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic.

Whilst the Bennelong Foundation community were not able to experience the event in person and in Sydney as it is usually held,  hosting the event via webinar meant that for the first time members of the community right across Australia and the UK could all participate at the same time. Over 60 members and their families joined in to participate, from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, London, Cornwall and Edinburgh.

Once again we were thrilled to partner with Sydney Community Foundation under their Be Kind Sydney platform to hear from and support three grass roots projects supporting communities experiencing disadvantage.  Participating in the event were 3Bridges Community Ltd - Aunty Program, NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors (STARTTS) – Project HEADSTART and Our Community Pantry – Bargo. The Bennelong Foundation community were incredibly moved by the

presenters and projects, with $60,000 being granted out on the night, allocated between the three projects as decided by a live vote from the participants.
