The Bennelong Foundation recently organised a floristry workshop for its staff alongside Bennelong Funds Management, Bangarra Family Office and hosted by our grant partners, The Beautiful Bunch. The Beautiful Bunch is a florist that employs women from migrant and refugee backgrounds, providing them with pathways to employment. As early funders of The Beautiful Bunch, the Bennelong Foundation has been instrumental in supporting the organisation's journey.
During the workshop, attendees were able to witness firsthand the skill and creativity of The Beautiful Bunch's team of florists. Jane Marx, the founder of The Beautiful Bunch, shared the story of how the organisation came to be – a phoenix rising out of the ashes of a social enterprise lost during lockdowns. It was inspiring to see how The Beautiful Bunch had not only survived but thrived, creating more jobs for young women and establishing new connections with other funders.
The Beautiful Bunch's mission to support women from diverse backgrounds, aligns with the Bennelong Foundation's values, and the Foundation is proud to have played a role in helping the organisation grow. The floristry workshop was a wonderful opportunity for the foundation's members to learn about The Beautiful Bunch's work and to see the impact of their support firsthand.
We encourage everyone to support organisation like The Beautiful Bunch that are creating opportunities for people who might otherwise face barriers to employment.
